The LCR-Reader-MP is the newest model in the LCR-Reader line of digital multimeters. This multipurpose device has the highest basic accuracy of any Smart Tweezers or LCR-reader device at better than 0.1%, more features than Smart Tweezers ST-1 and a 100 kHz test frequency for 1 nH resolution for inductance and 0.01 pF for capacitance measurements.
The MP device offers test modes such as pulse counting, signal generation, AC/DC voltage measurements, an oscilloscope mode and more. Oscilloscope mode is able to analyze wave-forms with frequencies up to 100 kHz on active circuit boards. This mode is complimented when used with the LCR-Reader Kelvin Probe Connector to check wave forms at various nodes. LCR-Reader-MP in oscilloscope mode

LCR-Reader-MP offers a 'Large Capacitance' mode that is useful for measuring capacitances up to 600 mF. When using this mode, the test frequency is reduced to 25 Hertz allowing for reasonable accuracy when measuring very large capacitances. Electrolytic capacitors are measured at 120 Hertz with ESR measured at 100 kHz according to regular electrolytic cpacitor test conditions. LCR-Reader-MP offers a wide range of test frequencies: 25, 100, 120 Hz, 1, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 75, and 100 kHz.

The device offers some downsides: a maximum test signal level of 0.65 Vrms; this signal level may not be enough for measuring some ceramic capacitors, leading to lower than actual measurement values. The MP device also has a igh tes signal resistance of 1 kOhm.

The LCR-Reader-MP uses a jogwheel for navigationLCR-Reader-MP is twice the size of LCR-Reader and newer models of Smart Tweezers at 2 oz. weight. The larger size allows for a bigger screen with easier read icons and values. The device is controlle using a jog-wheel navigation and is powered by a Li-Ion battery.
